We have had a very busy week, one of the things we have done is go to Mapua. On Wednesday the 16th 2011 Hoiho class went on a science adventure to the Mapua aquarium. we were met there by a bloke called Richard. We went to the discovery room. There, we talked about what it was like when the Maori first lived here in New Zealand, how they got there food and what else they did in order to survive. Richard then showed us some Maori fishing techniques. We went out into the aquarium It was very interesting and we had a lot of fun! We then went to McKee's reserve to look for creatures down at the beach. We mostly found crabs. It was a lot of fun!!
We have also been swimming this week at the ASB aquatic center, We have been practising for swimming sports! There are 5 groups in total. This is what some people liked: Olivia liked diving, Clare liked freestyle,Rachel had fun with her teacher and Judah liked backstroke. All in all we had lots of fun and we are prepared for the races! That was what we've been up to for week 3.
